1. Introduction

Nuare Studio Inc. built the Pie Messenger app as a free app (“the Service”). This Privacy Policy is intended to inform visitors and users of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. We will not use or share your personal information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

2.1 Camera and Photos

  • The app may use your phone’s camera for taking pictures if you grantpermission.
  • The app may access your photo library to let you attach images if you grant permission.

2.2 Contacts

  • The app may access your device’s contact list to help you find contacts who also use Pie Messenger if you grant permission.
  • The app does not upload any contacts data to its servers; it remains private on your device.

2.3 Personal Data

  • We may require certain personal information, including (but not limited to) your email address, name, and profile photo, to provide and improve the Service.
  • The information you provide will be retained and used as described in this Privacy Policy.

2.4 Public vs. Private Data

  • Publicly posted data (e.g., in public groups or on public profiles) may be collected and used to improve our services and user experience.
  • We do not access or collect any private data transmitted via private chat or any other private parts of the app. Private data remains private and inaccessible to us.

3. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services that collect information used to identify you. These include (but are not limited to):

  • Google Play Services
  • Google Analytics

We have no control over these third-party services and cannot take responsibility for their data handling. We encourage you to review their individual privacy policies.

4. Log Data

In case of errors in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your device called “Log Data.” This may include your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when using our Service, the time and date of your use, and other statistics. We collect this information to diagnose and address app performance issues.

  • This Service does not use its own cookies explicitly.
  • However, the app may include third-party code or libraries that use cookies to collect information and improve their services.
  • You have the option to accept or refuse cookies. If you refuse cookies, some features of the Service may not function fully.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, we will promptly delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided personal information without your consent, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

10. User Data Removal

To remove your personal data, open the Pie Messenger app, go to “Settings” in the main menu (top right of the screen), and then select “Permanently delete account.”

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
