According to recent reports, Apple is working on a more affordable version of its mixed reality headset, which is expected to be priced closer to the Quest Pro, currently available in the market. Engineers at Apple are said to be exploring ways to lower the cost of the device by using cheaper components and lower-resolution displays. Other cost-saving measures may include asking users to manually adjust their field of view and not equipping the device with Apple's custom H2 wireless chip. However, it should be noted that this cheaper version is still in early stages of development and there is no confirmation on when it will be released. The original, high-end version of the mixed reality headset is expected to be launched later this year with a price tag of around $3,000.
