According to a report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to debut custom microLED displays in a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra scheduled to launch by the end of 2024, before expanding the technology to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The company has reportedly spent around six years developing the microLED technology, which is intended to offer improved brightness, color reproduction, and viewing angles, and replace parts currently supplied by companies like Samsung and LG. Gurman's report suggests that the new display technology, codenamed T159, will be the first display custom-designed by Apple itself, similar to the company's work on Apple silicon. He believes that Apple's long-term plan is to bring microLED displays to all of its key products, but it could be a decade before the technology emerges in the Mac due to the complexity of the technology at this early stage. It's worth noting that this is speculation at this point and Apple has not officially confirmed any plans to introduce microLED displays in any of its products. However, if the report is accurate, it would mark a significant shift in the way Apple designs and manufactures its products, as well as a major development in display technology. #Apple #microLED #display #technology #watch #iphone #ipad #mac
